We were impressed with the maturity of your children during the Veteran’s Program last Friday. They sang with enthusiasm and were respectful throughout the program. We were very proud of them!  

Next Tuesday is our Maturation Program. Boys will meet in the gym and girls will meet in the library (2:00 PM).  Usually, dads attend with their sons and moms attend with their daughters (but you can go wherever you are comfortable :). If you can’t make it, your child can sit with a friend.  You can go home together afterward.

Our Worker’s Holiday will be a movie, next Tuesday morning. They will have choice between two Family Feature movies. Student may wear comfortable clothes (even PJ’s), bring a blanket or pillow, and a few healthy snacks.  Remember, students need to have an 80% and no missing assignments in order to attend.  We would love to see every student earn this!  All missing work is due by Monday morning.

We want to give another push for the free tutoring program, taught by SUU students.  This is for all students in the district, and is held at North Elementary in the STEM tutor center. It is open Tuesdays 3:30-8:00 PM, Wednesdays 1:30-5:00 PM, and Thursdays 3:30-8:00 PM. This is for K-12 grades. The center will be closed during SUU’s fall recess (December 15 -January 8).

We have received spelling bee lists that we can forward on to you, if you are interested. They are from previous years and would be beneficial in preparing students for the school’s spelling bee.  Let us know if you’d like some of these lists.

          Our next Blog update and grade printout will be on Wed., Dec. 6.
