Thanks to our new orchestra teacher, we have been able to begin our rotation schedule. This has been an enjoyable time and the students have completed a full rotation to each teacher.  During each rotation in Mrs. Williams’/Mrs. Illian’s class, the students will continue working on math facts to extend current knowledge or to increase knowledge of crucial facts. In Mrs. Little’s rotation class, students will work on their typing skills. Finally,  Mrs. Sherratt’s rotation class will include students working on Patriot Award practice and occasional art projects.

Students are writing a Dare essay at home about what they have learned in Dare. They need to complete it to graduate from Dare. Each student has a Dare book full of information to help with this. This essay is due by Nov. 15. Typed would be great, but a neatly handwritten report will be fine.

The mid-term Worker’s Holiday will be held on Monday, November 18th. Students must have all work turned in and an overall grade of 80% or higher to participate. Students will watch a movie. Students are welcome to bring a small snack to munch on, but we ask that they only have water to drink. They may also bring a blanket to sit on during the movie.

The Maturation Programs will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at 2:00pm. Boys will be in the gym and girls will be in the library. We would like to invite a parent or guardian to attend and you may take your student home with you when the program is over.

DARE graduation will be held On Tuesday, December 3rd from 2:30-3:30 in the gym. Parents are invited to attend and you may take your student home with you when the program is over.

Mrs. Williams is recovering very well and working hard to make a speedy recovery for her students. We’ve enjoyed having Mrs. Illian join the team for the next several weeks.

The next blog update and grade printout will be on Wed., December 4th.

                                                            Thanks for your support,
