Take note!
  • Missing Assignments:  If your student has missing assignments, they will need to be turned in by tomorrow, October 15th.  Your student has been given a report of missing assignments in the past few days by their teacher.  You can also check Powerschool to see what they have not turned in.
  • Worker’s Holiday:  Students who have no zeros or missing assignments and have earned 80% overall,  will be able to participate in Worker’s Holiday on October 16th.  We will plan on having a kickball tournament.  If the weather does not cooperate we have planned a game rotation for the students.
  • Typing Homework:  At the start of the 2nd Term we will be adding typing homework for the students.  The students need to be typing 25 wpm by the end of the school year.  They will need to practice 40 minutes each week.  Please watch for information on this that will come home with your student.

  • Share Fair:  The students will be participating in the Share Fair where they will present information on an ancestor that immigrated to America.  This will take place before the Thanksgiving Break.  Help your student select someone they would like to research for this project.   Details for this project will be coming home in the newsletter on Nov. 6.
  • Reflections:  We would like to encourage the 5th grade students to participate in the Reflections program sponsored by the PTA.  There are many different categories for them to choose from.  Be sure to get the forms you need from the files in front of the office and return things to the school by November 9th.
Halloween:  Just a reminder that we do not dress up for Halloween during school hours.  Please save the costumes, painted faces, colored hair, etc for after school.
